1. About these terms
This website is operated by Al Madeena Steel Works, a company licensed in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates. By using this website you accept these terms. If you do not accept them, please do not use the site.
2. Website content
Information on this site is provided for general guidance about our services and capabilities. Specifications, tolerances, capacities and lead times described here are typical and indicative. They do not form part of any contract unless repeated in a written quotation issued and signed by us.
We take care to keep the site accurate but do not warrant that it is complete, current or error-free. Technical articles published in the Insights section are general guidance, not engineering advice for a specific project.
3. Intellectual property
All content on this website — text, layout, graphics, code, logos and imagery — is owned by Al Madeena Steel Works or licensed to us, and is protected by applicable intellectual property law. You may view and print pages for your own business use. You may not copy, republish or redistribute site content for commercial purposes without our written permission.
4. Quotations
- Quotations are valid for thirty days from the date of issue unless stated otherwise.
- Prices are based on the drawings, specifications and quantities provided at enquiry stage. Changes to scope, material grade, finish or quantity require a revised quotation.
- Unless expressly stated, quotations exclude authority approvals, structural design calculations, builder's work, scaffolding, power and lighting on site, and value added tax.
- Steel and stainless prices move with the market. Where material has not yet been procured, we reserve the right to re-confirm price at order stage.
5. Orders and drawings
- An order is accepted when we issue a written order confirmation or receive a signed quotation, together with any agreed advance payment.
- Fabrication does not begin until shop drawings have been approved in writing by the client.
- Delay in returning approved drawings extends the delivery programme by at least the period of the delay.
- Where we fabricate from client-supplied drawings or dimensions, the client is responsible for their accuracy.
6. Variations
Changes requested after drawing approval will be quoted as a variation before being carried out, covering additional material, labour and any programme impact. Work already fabricated to the approved drawing is chargeable in full.
7. Delivery and installation
- Delivery dates are given in good faith based on the agreed programme and prompt drawing approval.
- We are not liable for delay caused by matters outside our reasonable control, including material shortage, authority approvals, site access restrictions, weather or client-side delay.
- Where we install, the client must provide safe, clear and ready access, together with power and any required site permits, at the agreed time.
- Standing time caused by site unreadiness is chargeable at our prevailing day rate.
8. Payment
Payment terms are stated on the quotation. Unless otherwise agreed, an advance payment is due against material procurement with the balance on delivery or completion. Title in fabricated goods passes to the client only on receipt of payment in full. Risk passes on delivery to site or on collection.
9. Warranty
We warrant our workmanship for twelve months from the date of handover. The warranty covers fabrication and installation defects attributable to us. It does not cover fair wear and tear, corrosion arising from unsuitable cleaning chemicals or environments not disclosed at enquiry stage, misuse, overloading, accidental or impact damage, or modification by others. Manufacturer warranties on bought-in components are passed through in full.
10. Liability
Our total liability arising out of any order is limited to the value of that order. We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, including loss of profit, revenue, production or business interruption. Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud.
11. Confidentiality
Drawings and technical information you provide are treated as confidential and used only to quote and deliver your project, as set out in our Privacy Policy.
12. Governing law
These terms and any contract formed under them are governed by the laws of the United Arab Emirates as applied in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi. The courts of Abu Dhabi have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute.
